Welcome to the website of the Institute for Pension Education ("IVP'). IVP is a not-for-profit foundation formed in 2012 to offer a quality boost to the Dutch pensions industry.

The focus is on the quality of the pensions provision regardless of whether the provision is offered by a pension fund, insurance company, or asset manager.

IVP has developed the unique Pension Fund Management programme - a 72 hours course over 24 lectures that connects all aspects of pension operations in a practical manner, and provides training and assessment of all essential competencies with the aid of experienced, qualified psychologists.

Those graduating the Pension Fund Management programme – by means of successfully completing an exam in knowledge, insight, judgment and competencies – will be awarded with the exclusive title of CPT- Chartered Pension Fund Trustee.

The Institute for Pension Education deems governing a pension fund and consulting retirement funds at the strategic level a profession. For this reason, IVP advocates the foundation of an industry-wide charter for trustees and other policymakers of pension funds.

Just as charters exist for accountants, doctors, psychologists and asset managers, a charter for pension fund trustees offers a benchmark for quality and professionalism.
